Vitual Taekwondo (VTKD) is now officially featured at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, as part of Ahead of the Curve, a new exhibition exploring the evolving relationship between sport, technology and culture.
The exhibition takes the viewer through a journey of how innovation continues to shape the way athletes compete, how audiences engage with sport, and how emerging formats such as esports are redefining participation and accessibility.
As part of the installation, visitors are introduced to the world of VTKD through a dedicated exhibition wall featuring:
- A full VTKD athlete setup
- Competition Highlight Retrospective
- Multi-perspective Gameplay Footage (shot on location at Kwontum, Singapore)
- Educational content surrounding the evolution of VTKD
Recognised as an official Olympic esport, VTKD represents an ongoing collaboration between World Taekwondo, Refract Technologies, and HERO Esports to explore the future of virtual sport, while preserving the essence of discipline of Taekwondo.
The exhibition is currently on display at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne as part of Ahead of the Curve, from now until 1 November 2026.
